This collection consists of material collected by Bradley Chilton pertaining to the Guthrie vs. Evans trial from 1972-1983, a law suit that led to sweeping reforms in the Georgia prison system. It includes transcripts of court proceedings, court records, minutes, printed material, correspondence, news clippings, blueprints, and photographs regarding conditions in the Georgia State Prison at Reidsville and trial proceedings.
